Planner for teachers

Your timetable, with your notes on it

Your school calendar, your Top 3, your to-do list and your handwriting in one place, on your iPad, your phone and the web. The notes stay yours: they live in NorthStar and never go back to Outlook.

0.56 EUR per week, billed 29 EUR once a year

NorthStar month view: September 2026 on a Monday to Sunday grid with a Month, Week and Day switch above it. Tuesday the 15th lists five lessons, Mathematics, Form period and Physics, and a plus three more marker.

Features

Month, week, day

One calendar at three zoom levels, on the same grid as your school day. Today is one tap away from wherever you are.

Top 3 and a to-do list

The three things that matter today sit beside the day they belong to. The to-do list carries on until you tick it off.

Write by hand on the page

Handwriting that behaves like handwriting, with an Apple Pencil on iPad or a finger on your phone. Undo, erase and lasso included.

Typed notes on any day or lesson

Text, checklists and tables, attached to the lesson they belong to. None of it is written back to your calendar.

It works with no connection

Plan on a train. Changes wait on the device and go up the moment you have a network again.

Your paper, your colours

Paper presets, accent colour, font and text size. Set it once and your other device follows.

See it work

NorthStar day view on an iPad. Left: Tuesday lesson by lesson down a bell schedule, numbered 1 to 7 from 07:10, with a staff meeting and a choir rehearsal in the evening. Right: Top 3 for the day, a to-do list with one item crossed off, handwritten short notes, and an empty notes box for the day.
Top 3, to-do and notes sit beside the calendar you already use.

How it works

  1. Create your account

It is checked by hand before it starts syncing, so there is a short wait.

  2. Paste your Outlook ICS link

One link from Outlook is all NorthStar needs to mirror your calendar.

  3. Plan your week

Write your Top 3, your to-do and your notes beside the days you already have.

What it costs

One planner, two ways to pay for it. Each price is per person and covers two devices.

FAQ

Does it change my Outlook calendar?

No. NorthStar reads your calendar and writes nothing back to it. Your notes are stored separately and are never sent to Outlook.

What happens offline?

Everything keeps working. Changes are queued on the device and sync when you are back on a network.

Who can sign up?

Anyone who wants it. You create an account, it is checked by hand before it starts syncing, and you are told when it is ready.

Who runs NorthStar?

One person, Maj Mohar, on hardware he owns in Slovenia. The Terms set out what that means for availability, and the Privacy page lists exactly what is stored and for how long.
